After the magnificent visit to the Charminar and the Makkah Masjid we went to visit the amazing Chowmahalla Mahal which was the palace inhabited by the royal Nizam family of Hyderabad. They were of Persian background and they also made their palace to be a replica of the Shah's palace of Tehran.
It is a truly amazing place to visit and it shows the decadent and developed court culture of the Nizams and also the cosmopolitan, global and highly sophisticated culture of Hyderabad! The palace has amazing collections of art and influences from all over the world, especially from the Islamic world and colonial Europe as well as renaissance influences!
